Ed Selee steps into critical leadership role with the retirement of Bob Petrone.
ROCHESTER, NEW YORK — June 12, 2023 — Lewis Tree Service, one of the leading providers of utility vegetation management services in the United States, welcomes Ed Selee to its executive leadership team as of May 30, 2023. Selee comes to Lewis with more than 25 years of experience as a corporate finance leader, most recently with some of the nation’s leading energy providers. He will transition into the roles of Senior Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) over the next several weeks alongside current CFO Robert Petrone, who has announced his intention to retire. Petrone is credited with developing a strong financial team and driving significant revenue and earnings growth during his seven years at Lewis.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ed to our leadership team,” said Lewis CEO Leslie Kass. “He has a tremendous amount of experience in senior financial roles and will be a major contributor to our aggressive plans for growth. Bob Petrone contributed significantly to the strong financial position Lewis holds today, and they will work together over the next few months to allow Ed to be fully up to speed as Bob begins his much-deserved retirement.”
Selee comes to Lewis with a long track record of success in c-level positions for a variety of companies, including NTP Distribution and Clearview Energy. He has been heavily involved in mergers and acquisitions, process and control improvements, cash management and analysis. Selee also has a wealth of experience managing employee stock ownership plans, which Lewis is proud to offer its employees, and passion for employee and team development. He has spent much of his career as a turnaround expert but comes to Lewis with a different goal in mind.
“Joining Lewis is an opportunity to be part of a company that’s incredibly well positioned for success,” said Selee. “I’ve spent much of my career in short-term/interim roles, working to restructure and transform companies. I’m excited to enter this new chapter with a strong company that’s on a trajectory for significant growth.”
Selee holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from California State University Sacramento. He will be relocating from Dallas, Texas to Rochester, New York, where Lewis is headquartered.
