Diego Canto Dereza: A Career Reignited at Lewis

Diego had built a solid career, moving through various positions at the same company since graduating from high school. But over time, he began to feel “stuck,” unsure of what the future held.
That’s when he noticed Lewis trucks arriving on the utility property where he worked. Curious, Diego decided to learn more.
He spoke with the Lewis recruiters who were building a team in his area and was immediately drawn in by what he heard: an excellent safety program, real opportunities for training and advancement, and the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). “That’s what really caught my eye,” Diego says. Four years later, Diego has advanced from General Foreperson to Supervisor, overseeing critical work in Texas. “The safety program here is outstanding. Leadership is accessible, and the opportunities for growth are real,” he explains.
